Jaguarundi is a small cat with short legs and a long tail. They are native to Central and South America.

They range in size from 6-20 pounds, 35-55 inches in length, standing 10-14 inches at shoulder height.

Jaguarundis make a remarkably wide variety of sounds, including purrs, whistles, yaps, chattering sounds, and even a bird-like chirp.

Habitat Jaguarundis inhabit lowland brush areas and like to be near running water.
Behavior Mostly active during the daytime, can climb trees but prefer hunting on the ground.

These cats are primarily solitary unless mating.

Diet Small animals like rodents, small reptiles, ground dwelling birds but have been known to catch larger animals like rabbits and opossums.
Threats Habitat loss is there primary threat as their fur is not sought after buy humans.
